LMAO! I have zero hockey knowledge I just assumed Roenick played in the 80's.
Well he had a road game on that day the the story could make sense so either the points or the amount he won are exaggerate or it happening the same day they both had a game. And yeah Michael Jordan is one of those athletes that transcends just the sport he played. Hes synonymous with the number 23.

Its the 92 game where he scored 44 thats the game Roenick was talking about,he got his numbers slightly off....That story also verifies another thing that was reported about Jordan during his playing days and made fun of.....dudes were hustling him on the golf courses,i think Norm McDonald made a joke about that hosting the Espys one year....
Jordan's energy was otherworldly. Imagine standing next to him at tip-off and smelling booze on his breath thinking you have a chance that night. Then he goes out and destroys you while still buzzed/hungover.

That's the downside to being hypercompetitive. You aren't gonna be the best at everything. And if you apply that same "never say die" mindset to things that you aren't that good at, you set yourself up to be taken by those that actually are good at it. Same thing with him as an owner/exec.
