I really don't feel safe in this country anymore.

people have been so conditioned to associate fear and criminality with black manhood that sometimes I fear even the littlest discrepancy could lead to me getting shot or killed by police.

I was skateboarding down myrtle yesterday. I stop at Burger King and set my skateboard aside against a wall tl check the time on my phone. As soon as I pull out my phone this spanish woman clutches her purse and gets scared. For me checking the time.



this is the element of fear that has been pounded into the collective consciousness of society with black men. where anybody and everybody has a reason to be wary of us and call police when we make them feel uncomfortable just for living and existing.

I hope the concept of "racial separation" is brought up more and more. Even if it takes 1000 years to happen, THAT is the final solution. It may be taboo to suggest but its the only logical solution. Black people will NEVER be at peace living amongst whites.

The problem is this, anyone who's dealt with cops in real life. You know that these a$$holes think their living a movie. They ride around all day doing nothing and in most cases they can't wait for something to pop off. Which is why they always come off hyper aggressive and combative in attempt to lure civilians into confrontation. The other part is, all these cops are getting little to no penalty for killing black men. What you're telling these officers is that it's okay. It's okay to shoot unarmed men, it's okay to get caught on camera shooting unarmed men, and you will be protected. Which means they aren't even going to think twice about it now. And it's only going to get worse. Before the rise of HD Camera phones and social media, these things were happening. This isn't new. These situations being documented is new. Before, they'd get off because it was basically witnesses words vs the officers. Nowadays, they're still getting off. Not from he say she say, but from concrete 720p evidence. Which means they are going to do whatever they feel fit anytime they feel fit. Until something gives, it's only going to get worst. If you think a lot of these cops haven't been waiting since their youth to murder blacks people in cold blood than you're wrong. Racism/WS is alive and well. You're giving them a pass to murder blacks with no consequences. This is our next battle, and it'll be one of our biggest as a people. This hasn't happened at any other time in history. Millions of civilians walking around with HD Cameras, and police officers still getting away with murder. Stay woke, be safe. Love and protect eachother.

Because I thought it was about not resisting? And placating to the cop to make the cop feel comfortable.

Because I thought black men had to play nice and announce every intention when facing a cop.

Things that Philando Castile did. By advising the cop that he had a license to carry and telling the cop that was reaching for his identification per the cop's request. AND HE WAS STILL SHOT AND ENDED UP DYING!

Black people are under occupation. We have always been under occupation and/or some form of colonization in this country and in this Western hemisphere in general. The government, which includes police, does not have the same relationship with black people as it does with those politically considered to be white and/or non-black.

The government is used as a means of protecting the colonizer class whereas the government is used as a means of constraining the colonized class. Even if you live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood with a nice white wife, you are occupied....a ward of the state.

Times will only get worse as President Obama leaves office. Because American society will have the ability to say "Well, we had a black president, so the gloves are off now."
