Another AAA game comes out running like sh!t. What’s going on with developers?

Games need more time to cook tbh, this whole 2 to 3 year turn around really ain't enough anymore for triple A games at all

4-6 minimum

first Cities Skylines came out in 2015
Did they start on part 2 as soon as the finished? Was it before COVID or after.

I really don't know any of that info, but all these triple A games that aren't getting like 3 or 4 years of development and another year of play testing and tunning have been mad buggy lately.

Could just be the woes of covid still affecting things tho.

I’d think Cities would be much more CPU- and RAM-bound, even at damn 8k with all the simulation going on. But I’ve never played either one. Always been interested in it tho

Didn't Cyberpunk come out like shyt 3 years ago? Ya'll were dikkriding it last month when the new update drops. Same thing with Halo Infinite.

Cities is definitely the type of game that you wait until it's fully patched. I remember the first one having a bit of a shytshow launch but ending up being a great game down the road

Developers got their employees at gun point to satisfy the Shareholders before they tank the stocks.

This seems like one of those games that could have thrived with early access on pc.

Seems like they already have a hardcore fan base from the first game. They would have shelled out to be beta testers if it was an option.

If they did my bad, didn’t keep up with this game like that
