It's not a matter of "like". I don't know if I "like" Ann Coulter; I don't know her personally.

What I do know is her overall views on Blacks are both abhorrent AND in competition with mine. So, since our views are competing for power, she gets no acknowledgement from me.

But that’s how the concept of allies works. Allies don’t love you, like you, or even share the same goal or values. You just have a common enemy. That’s all.

Some of us have twisted the meaning of allies to mean “people that love us”. Ally is a military/war term. It’s not what Black twitter has twisted it into in 2019.

The only reason we got our freedom in this country at all is because one group of racist white folks had a political and economic beef with another group of racist white folks.

Trusting them is never the point. Name one politician on either side of the aisle that was worthy of our trust.
