Koalabama and the Cosmos
And they name him the most black american name possible

Brooklyn Adams.

He used to fight for the CIA now he catches criminals in his spare time while being in jail that he put himself in and could break out anytime.

Don't forget the angry ass grumpy Barrett from FF7 ass voice that they could possibly have for the black character:krs:

Anime was heavily influenced by Walt Disney and so they don't look particularly japanese because of the eyes.
this is not true at all.

as a matter of fact, the people who you're referencing that are supposedly influnced by disney (go nagai, osamu tezuka and miyazaki and others) were constantly bit off by white animators.

perfect example is kimba the white lion, and how the lion king is a direct rip off.

i say all this to say that it's disingenuous to think or suggest that white people have created anything. all they do is vulture. (this ain't a personal dig at you, just a chance for me to inform other posters on this topic).

biscuit oliva is actual a great character though. i do get your point. it's the same thing with barrett wallace.

however, i do not have a problem with japanese folk viewing black men as masculine.

both of these characters have great depth, high intellect, and run both of the respective organizations they're apart of.

im playing ff7 remake rn, game fully made by japanese, and yet the main character is a cac, president shinra is a cac. and it's weird because they knowingly have hojo (blatantly inspired by unit 731) as this evil japanese ethically shytty mad scientist. i guess he's their version of a portrayal of a c00n.

but they also pay homage to their culture through wutai.

it's actually pretty deep when you think about it, especially when they get into the whole war of shinra vs wutai (i.e. west vs east) and how shinra is destroying the planet.

but at the same time the implication is that a white dude has to save the day?
