Greater majority of people who don't like it or haven't bothered to try really dismisses it as naked teenage girl ninja porn, aliens powering up for 3 hours or pokemon.

Really, every genre of every story you can ever imagine is in there.

Hell, I used to make a game of it. Don't like anime? Tell me what you like to do/watch and I'll give you a show that you'll love.

For instance: NBA Finals just ended? Give those people Kuroko no Basket, 3/4 of them would be hooked on "chinese cartoons" forever.
