I don't think it can be any more obvious. They have Latin alphabet names (a, e, b) the gold and silver bros wear head dresses, and the people who aren't black in the village are drawn like white people(blonde hair, blue eyes, long noses) that village is an obvious analog for Okinawa or the United States.
