I don't follow baseball at all, so I was shocked at what I saw. Dude fell off literally the second he signed the deal. Like BAD. How could that happen?
He got hurt.
But who knows? Maybe he was on the juice just long enough to get a major contract.

It wouldn't be the first time.

Dating back to his college days & early in his career with Nats he dealt with a lot of injuries (Nats got him with the 6th pick because of injury concerns. Best hitter in draft probably goes #1 without the injury bug). His last 4 seasons with the Nats it seemed he put those injury issues behind him :lolbron:

Fans must be incensed.

Apparently he always had health issues. That was a bad contract.

The amount of terrible contracts in baseball rn is staggering
They definitely need to move towards basketballs shorter contract structure in the future

Strasburg is definitely the worst though. That's probably gonna go down as the worst contract in sports history

Scott Boras and Rendon doing well against us in the WS landed him that contract. Hell we wanted to sign him as well since he’s a homeboy

His track record got him that contract.

Hitters who average 5 WAR seasons will always see a bag.

That 2019 Nats WS team is the most improbable WS team ever if not just because the whole lineup was filled with guys who had the injury bug historically leading into that 2019 season.

Anthony Rendon
Trea Turner
Ryan Zimmerman
Howie Kendrick
Adam Eaton
Stephen Strasburg (Another terrible contract considering he has played maybe 8 games since signing his 7 year 245 mill contract. At least he won WS MVP :to:)

They all came together and were healthy all the way down the stretch & made that run which is remarkable considering how often those guys were missing time prior to that season :blessed:
