I Got Game

Lebron said on NBA tv 2 years ago that he wouldn't enter the dunk contest, because he wasn't creative enough to win. I couldn't find the quote online. But I posted it in the all-star thread 2 years ago.

Again, nothing to gain, everything to lose. Pascal's wager. Making a business decision is not "being scared", it's "being smart." And you're kidding yourself if you don't think that All-Star snub affected his decision as a rookie.
It's the first step to being a goat. Kobe and mj top 2 perimeter players of all time dunk contest was their right of passage to stardom
Unnecessary. LeBron came into the league with stardom. His High School games were on ESPN. He was dubbed the chosen one at age 15.
Kobe was a nobody before he won a dunk contest. Big difference.
Jordan played in the 80's when superstars participated. Jordan went up against Nique. You want LeBron to go up against Terrence Ross?
If he wins, so what? If he loses he'll never hear the end of it. So why should he enter again?
LeBron is better than Kobe, don't know why yall fakkits won't accept this. Might as well mention Harold Miner and J.R. Rider since we're mentioning random wings who don't compare to LeBron.
The truth is, the Dunk Contest died in 97 when Kobe won it because they didn't have one the next 2 years. They resurrected it for 1 year in 2000 so Vince could do his thing, and that was it. Not a single contest after that has mattered. All trash.
LeBron would have 10x the expectations of Vince, who is a better dunker. That's a can't win situation. Vince delivered, no doubt, but imagine if he had 10x the expectations AND had to dunk in strength shoes and fat suit. In other words, he wouldn't be as good a dunker. That's what we're talking about here. Makes no sense for him to enter.
But you're lying to yourself in regards to Bron because EVERYONE wants to see him in it, which is why 10+ years later yall nikkas STILL talk about it. LeBron won. He gets mentioned every year around this time. Past winners do not... because no one gives a fukk about a slam dunk contest.
