the comparison to kobe and tmac are just disrespectful to the two
he's going to be a good player. but kobe was on a different level at his age
maybe early tmac but kobe?

Its not disrespectful at all and kobe at age 20 was in his 3rd season in the league and had played way more games than drew has...Same with TMac he was a rookie at 18 and by 20 was in his 3rd season in the league and even tho both only started in there 3rd season had played way more games than Wiggy has at this point in his rookie season....Numbers are about even.

that's a fair argument. i'm just comparing age to age though. kobe and tmac weren't really given a green light until their 3/4 year in the league. we are seeing a player fresh in the league with no pressure at winning, getting a green light. his stats aren't really exceptional compared with other players that got rookie of the year. I mean Michael carter williams averaged 16-6-6 last year. No one is comparing him to the next goat.

I do think wiggins has a ton of potential/upside though

Difficult to compare Kobe and Mac cuz they were drafted onto winning playoff teams coming in amd playing behind people.
Wiggins right now looks to me where McGrady was second half of his 3rd season cept hes hitting 3s at a much higher rate than Tracy was...

If you go by game experience and minutes not age i think Drew is further ahead than TM...Its going come down to what he does next season...

Michael Carter Williams was 22 at the time.

:shaq2: nicca your projections have damn near been comparing this dude to Jordan. That's conservative now?

I said:

(1) he would win ROY running away......CHECK
(2) the cavs would regret trading him for Kevin Love..........CHECK
(3) he would be as good as Paul George by the end of the season.....CHECK

thats all I said he would do as a rookie. I never said he'd be Jordan as a rookie. I just said he had the body and athletic ability similar to a young michael jordan from north carolina.
