I have the opposite view. I feel like we should be able to evaluate the message separate from the messenger. If Trump told you to eat healthy, exercise and educate yourself, we can all objectively agree it's a positive message from a pos human being. But just because he's a pos, would you then not follow the advice out of spite?Well,
If you're arguing that the message matters more than the messenger...yeah. Maybe. I guess.
I just think the same, or a similar message can be found from someone with significantly less baggage and a much better reputation.
David Duke might tell you to dress warm in the winter. But is that really the guy you want to parrot? You know what I mean?
Sometimes the messenger does actually matter.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't have to dikkride someone just to agree with them on a certain point they made. If the information given makes sense, absorb it and separate it from the messenger.
At a point, if you wanted to become a great chess player, you might have had to study some Bobby Fischer games eventhough he was an alleged racist.
