Breh as someone who who knew frat and sorority members in undergrad and grad school. Gay frat and sorority members ain't nothing new. Whether at an HBCU or PWI.
Normally there are some rumors that these folks are gay. But they are usually good with hiding shyt or have some folks who can cosign that they ain't gay. The frats or sororities let them in cause they pass the grades and character test. But then after they come out with their letters they get sloppy and get busted. Then the frat and soros disown them, but by then they got their letters.
Seen this shyt happen with a brotha (kappa), sista (aka) and white boy (belonged to a white frat). The brotha and the sista both had folks who they were cool with who knew they were gay. But they vouched for them and said all the rumors were false and they were straight as an arrow.
But both got sloppy after getting their letters and were busted off campus living that alternate lifestyle and got ostracized by the greeks.
The white boy was another who lived a double life would befriend girls and would tell them to basically front and say they were having sex to throw folks off the gay trail (another reason to never trust a dude who claims they are fukking every female you see them with). White boy got his letters and was busted sucking a dude off in his dorm room by his roommate. His frat disowned him as well. But like the others he didn't care once he got them letters.
But at the end of the day this ain't some great discovery. Only difference now to when I went to college is that frats and sororities can't come out and say NO GAYs allowed. So they have to accept some openly gay folks if they meet the requirements. But that don't mean they actually got to deal with them once they get those letters.
Finally we dealing with colleges kids who are normally slow....like most young folks between 18 to 24 are. Obvious shyt to grown adults (think 28 and older) will be overlooked to young folks under 24. So if a undercover gay dude is telling them lies about their life they may never put 2 and 2 together. But a 32 year old would figure out they lying in a heartbeat. Its like a young woman or man trying to run game on a 35 year old...shyt ain't gonna fly. But that shyt will work on a 22 year old.
