Andre Ward was a great champion. Sadly, he was never truly present in the sport when he was active. A man of his skill, pedigree, talent, accomplishments and stature should have been bigger than he was. I wonder if the layoffs contributed to that or if his destiny was never to be a box office attraction. Too much of a SOG.
