Wards paycheck for the smith fight was based off his drawing ability from before 2013. Now that he just got paid $2million and had what, 200k viewers on BET? Do you think he will get that paycheck from his promotor again for fighting a bum? Didnt they have to give out all sorts of jesus discounts and free tickets just to fill up the oracle? Ward is taking a paycut in his next fight unless he fights a decent name fighter. Wort-gang need to be realistic.
Off the top of my head, didnt SRL give hagler the bigger cut just to get the fight done?
SRL was coming off 3 years inactivity
SRL took less cash from the purse but he had $ from the close circuit which Hagler didn't get, picked the gloves ring size etc. I'm sure @hyperman25 would know more than me though Hagler is his guy.
I asked for one example of a fight with a definite a/b where everything is split 50/50 and I'm still waiting
Yup.
Doesn't mean anything though because draw is determined by feelings
I feel like no one in the trip state area can see me with the hands I don't have to actually prove this right nah as long as I feel it we good
Hagler was guaranteed $12 million plus a percentage of the revenue. Leonard was guaranteed $11 million plus 50 percent of the closed circuit television rights in the Baltimore-Washington area. Hagler ended up with about $20 million and Leonard $12 million. After Leonard agreed to let Hagler have the larger purse, Hagler agreed to let Leonard choose the gloves (10-ounce Reyes), the number of rounds (12) and the size of the ring (20-foot)
not really, nobody wants to fight ggg and hes getting oldWard needs this fight more than GGG imo. He should just cave in and whoop his ass at 164
yeah @Mook filled in all the details that i missed.
We'll just see now won't we, if they don't fight each other and he does in fact make more his next fight (just like he always has) I wonder what the "bbbbbut" will be. :sog:

Didnt Floyd come off 3 years inactivity when he fought JMM and still take the lions share?SRL was coming off 3 years inactivity
#ShookBoys did a great job of derailing this exposal of "anyone from 154-168 can get it we'll move up to 168 and ko Ward in 6, send us an offer" into them worrying about the draw of a guy who makes more than their fighter
Damn didn't know dude picked the rounds too
50/50 is fair in my opinion Wards got some fans in Oakland, thats about it. GGG sells tickets all over europe and the states, he has a wider fanbase. Ward is an ant on the world stage
Ward is the overwhelming favourite at 168
164 makes it interesting, @krackdagawd and @Newzz do you think Ward beats GGG at 164?

He's fighting in venues that don't even hold 1000 people in Europe.
Before he linked up with HBO...he could barely fill up a gymnasium in Germany...even when he had the WBA title.
His core fanbase is in the U.S. I don't think you can class him as a dude that can "sell tickets all over Europe" or somebody that has some huge international following when he's fighting in venues overseas that only hold 1000 people.
Hold on, how old is andre ward? GGG is, what, 33?not really, nobody wants to fight ggg and hes getting old
