Exclusive – Carl Froch tells ‘deluded’ Andre Ward: ‘It’s Nottingham or nowhere!’

Carl Froch has told Andre Ward he’s deluded if he thinks they can realistically fight at Wembley Stadium.
Ward is set to face Liverpool-born Paul Smith in Oakland, California on Saturday after claiming the Cobra had ‘disappeared’.
The American pugilist, who is currently the WBA super-middleweight champion, has said he does want to make a bout against Froch happen, but wants it to be in a bigger venue than the City Ground.
Froch, though, has said Ward ‘hasn’t got a clue’ and insists Nottingham is the right place for the match, which would hand the Cobra a chance to avenge a 2011 defeat in New Jersey.
He told the Sports Bar: “Andre Ward says he doesn’t want to come to Nottingham because it’s a [30,000 seat arena] so he’s says if he’s going to come to England it’s going to be for Wembley Stadium - but guess what, Andre Ward, nobody wants to come and see you fight.
“They want to come and see me fight but not against [Ward] at Wembley Stadium. It’s not a big enough fight for Wembley because Andre Ward is boring and unknown – that’s a fact. It’s not a Wembley fight.
“You can’t just come and fight at Wembley Stadium, you need the right ingredients, like what we had with the second George Groves fight.
“If Andre Ward wants to fight me, like he says he does, why doesn’t he come to Nottingham, get the biggest payday of his career and beat me in my hometown? His excuse was he wants to do it at Wembley Stadium but we can’t go to Wembley because it doesn’t sell. It sells 20-30,000 in Nottingham but at Wembley it doesn’t. This guy is deluded. He hasn’t got a clue.”
But Froch has revealed he’s more than happy to fight again, despite not facing an opponent since May 2014, just as long as it makes fiscal sense.
He added: “If I don’t box again, I don’t fight again. I’ll be a very happy and satisfied man. I’ve had a fantastic career but that’s not to say I wouldn’t fight again. I’m 37 years old walking around at 12 stone seven pounds and there is fight left in me. Everyone wants an announcement – am I going to fight or retire – but I don’t what I’m going to do.
“If an opportunity comes up to fight a feasible opponent that’s going to make not just me, but Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Promotions a lot of money, like the Andre Ward fight in Nottingham would have, then I’ll fight again.
“But at the moment there are no real options, even the James De Gale fight is not a big fight.”

Like I said before, they could fight at the M.E.N. Arena which holds 21,000 people in Manchester or the O2 Arena which holds 20,000 people in London...both which hold over 3000+ more than the MGM Grand does in Vegas.
at thinking someone is foolish enough to fight you in your LITERAL hometown and the EXACT SAME venue they watched someone else beat you in...but get robbed
