It's funny because Dre is batshyt insane as well but because he's more versatile with his production, people are willing to set aside his issues and work with him. On the other hand the same does not apply to Quik - I think it's because of his mood swings and his beefs with nearly everyone he's teamed up with. No one is willing to deal with a grown ass man who can't decide what personality he wants to be today.

Hmm maybe in his early days with the whole beating women/domestic violence shyt, but I have never really heard issues of Dre being batshyt insane, emotionally moody, and at the very least talking about his emotions to the degree that Quik does. Ive just heard that Dre is a super perfectionist, and will completely trash something if it's not to his liking. Quik is just a lot more loose with his lips and reckless, impulsive, and will be very public with his spats with this associates; putting their asses on blast and such. Quik is just too emotional, and it comes from his upbringing. Dude was raised in a house full of women, and no father figure. Dude didn't have a whole lot of male influences coming up, plus he had to deal with the fukkery of growing up during the crack epidemic,the rising gang wars of the 80s and 90s. As well as the added factor of the abuse his sisters put him through. Dude has a lot of unresolved issues, and deep seated demons he has yet to deal with. A lot of it too has to do with the people he's got around him too. A lot of the dudes in his crew were opportunist, hanger on's, and didn't have his best interest at heart. Dudes were basically a bunch of yes men, financing his dumb decisions, and bringing their street bullshyt with them. When Dre blew up, he was smart enough to leave that street, thuggery bullshyt where he found it; and he didn't keep people around him who weren't on his level or had nothing to bring to the table.

Most of the industry probably doesn't fukk with him like that for that very reason. You can't just put folks on blast, airing them out, burning bridges, and then think it's gonna be all cool to work with them again.

Its true, the article I was referreing to earlier in here, was in june 2011 la weekly., it was edited after the lil kids family was contacted, and they later took out everything quik said about it, because he was bragging originally, the lil kid's aunt and lil girl(who is grown up now) even commented to the story as well.

I hadn't even known about that incident. I heard about Too $hort though killing someone in a car accident when he was drunk. At one point the news reports were saying he was going to lose his studio because of that, and that he never paid the settlement.

Ive never ever heard of him bragging about that incident either...Though I definitely wouldn't put something that low past him. I met someone last summer who's really, REALLY close to him, and knows a lot of about his past and life that most fans aren't even aware of, and even they said that they've never heard him even mentioning the incident with the death of the 5 year old boy, not even once. He's never even mentioned that incident on Wax either.
