Seems like Dre bruised his confidence so he feels as if he has to give him adoration and praise to seem as if he's being humble when really he probably resents Dre. Beating around the bush when someone asks him about his own beats and production, but when someone mentions Dre his eyes light up
He needs to stop acting as though he's afraid of giving his honest opinion of Dre as if Dre would ever step to him
And he's done the same thing with Suge. Calling him out in interviews and then praising him in the next, thanking him for taking him in at death row. And then in the next interview he'll be dissing him again

LOL Perhaps its because he knows Dre has the power to blackball him should he step out of line and say some wild shyt, or not kiss his ass. Remember, Dre has the machine behind him -literally and figuratively) and he's in the position he's in because he was chosen to be there. I don't know why Quik kisses his ass either, when other producers have shyt talked Dre-howefver their careers are basically nonexistent as well. As for Suge knight, yeah Quik was one of the first people to diss him, but what a lot of people also don't know is that Suge pulled his hoe card not too long after that incident; and on this very same subject. Yeah he did. And came at him on twitter a few years ago, and as you can see Quik career hasn't gone anywhere really significant. He mostly just gets work through relationships these days. I forgot to mention in that other post, Dre is a major gatekeeper in the industry; which is why just about every up and coming west coast act goes through him to get put on. I think Quik is well aware of the type of power Dre has, his influence, and the fact that if he really wanted to, Dre could black ball him and fukk up the rest of his existence. Which is why Quik tries to remain on his best behavior, and kiss his ass in interviews; even to the point of downplaying his own talent and abilities. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain that he's deeply envious, and resentful towards Dre; and if given the chance he wouldn't hesitate to jump at Dre's seat on the throne. But of course if you know anything about Quiks history, and some of his behavior, you'd know that he'll never get that seat on the throne.

Actually now that I think about it, this probably has a lot to do with that 500 mil dollar lawsuit Quik, Dre and the label were hit with as a result of Quik not clearing that bollywood sample for the song "Addictive." He burned a lot of bridges with that shyt, which led to him being blackballed, and killing his chances of blowing up, and becoming a streamlined producer.

LOL downplaying your own talent to kiss the ass of someone else constantly is not recognizing talent. Anyone who really knows Quik knows dude has a bit of an ego, and knows he's the best and better than Dre, but he's constantly playing up Dre, and praising everything he's done. Lol You should see the ass kissing in interviews for Dre's detox.
DRE IS WAY BETTER THAN QUIK LMAO AND QUIK IS THE 2ND GREATEST EVER. DRE IS UNDERRATED ON THIS DUMBASS FORUM, THE PURISTS KNOW HIW GENIUS, HENCE QUIKS PRAISE.

I agree with Quik being 2nd Greatest, and I put Dre ahead of him, given how much he's done for music, the industry, his artist and general influence. But from a "technical" standpoint, Quik is better than Dre. He's more musical, soulful, and really knows music. But seriously, go watch the vid of the interview I posted of quik, read some of his other interviews; especially the ones where he's discussing detox, and you'll see the ass kissing Im talking about.
QUIK IS BETTER AT PLAYING LIVE INSTRUMENTS, BUT DRE GOT THE GOLDEN EAR AND KNOWS WHAT GOES WHERE, LAYERS, BUILD-UPS ETC. HIS GENIUS IS IN THE OVERALL OUTLOOK.

True. Dre always had a better ear for finding talent, and cultivating that talent; bringing out their maximum potential. Quik had great beats, awesome production, and was a great rapper, but the dudes in his camp were wack as hell; most of who should have been left in the 90s. Dre was able to create stand alone talents who were able to rise and become superstars. The only person under Quik who was able to do that would have been Mausberg, but he died before he could even bubble. Quik tried to have other protege's after Mausberg, but they were never successful, and Quik would be shyttin' on em in interviews after they fell off.
