Nikka dropped some of the dopest verses of all times.
Literally told you on their hit single he would want to retire before any sign of decline.

Is happy. Isn't distracted by what people want from him.

Listening to the NPR interview and glad to hear that some jazz heavy hitters are involved. It's not JUST flutes, it's instrumental, just no vocals.

His guitar solo on Sixteen worried me, him praising the Cudi Speeding Bullet album worried me, but if he has some professionals involved and he's clearly been playing flute, he might have the actual chops now and not just pseudo-expressive shyt

Anyways I'm trying to be optimistic lol

If the music's good, I don't mind what he does. From the article I read though, they made it sound like it's more like ambient music or something

I'm hoping for something jazz inspired cause going off the love below and class of 3000 soundtrack, I think he'd pull one off well

I dont think he's trolling. He never comes off as the type to do stuff just to do it. He won't budge if his heart aint in the music he's making

But on the off chance he is trolling, I can only see it if he actually has a rap solo album that'll drop instead

Might be the most overrated rapper in the history of the game

Breh was diagnosed with severe social anxiety

It ain't easy to just drop music like that

Back in the dungeon family days, he had a team behind him to push him but once they reached their peak popularity, it was just too much

I'm just glad we got what we got out him while we did. Imagine if he never rapped at all

Just kept it to himself cause of nerves. Anxiety aint no joke. So to have accomplished what he has despite it, says a lot

If you accept that 3 Stacks is in a new phase of his career and isn't interested in rapping (and clearly HASN'T been in 20 years) then this is actually an exciting development. I love Jazz and World Music and listening to his interview on NPR it seems like this is going to be a Free Jazz album with elements of world music. Andre is a very creative individual and he said he's spent years with a flute Master learning and playing different types of flute and flute music. He's taking this seriously and i'm proud that dude is 48 years old and at the very least putting his heart into SOME form of musical expression.

Everybody can't be Nas, who lives and breathes bars within the core of his soul. Andre has said he has different goals and seeks different modes of expression. He didn't even want to rap at first, he wanted to go to Art school and become a painter. He doesn't enjoy freestyling. He has anxiety performing. He gets bored doing his old songs. Andre been telling us without outright telling us that rap is a hobby he just so happened to be supremely gifted in, but he doesn't want it to define him.

He’s definitely serious about this.
Am a borderline Stan of Elena Pinderhughes who is an incredible flutist who plays with Christian Scott and Herbie Hancock amongst many others and has led me down a rabbit hole of a lot of different flute music.
This could be real dope.

I believe him when he says he’s done with rap. I still wouldn’t be surprised if he has tapes of stuff or rhyme books fulls of stuff ready to go.
