He IS collaborating with other jazz musicians for this album. Dude never does interviews but did an hour with NPR breaking down who he’s been working with on the album and how those collaborations came about. The album is co-produced by Carlos Nino and features work from Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthewdavid, V.C.R, Diego Gaeta, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd.

Interested even more in hearing this now, sounds like he did it the right way, brought in some cats to cover/mask any flaws he might have. Any instrumentalists will tell you that shyt is a life long journey, on some Highlander with the sword.
