He said straight up he’s not trying to troll people. He really wants people to listen and appreciate the music without ANY preconceived notions that he’ll be rapping. He’s taking this album dead serious

He should have released this album under a band or an alternate name to further distinguish this, IMO.

He's never going to release a rap album. At some point the hype for him doing so got out of control and creatively it's not possible for him to do it now. Whatever he made would be torn to pieces.

There has never been for even one moment as far as I can remember any reason for anyone to expect a new Outkast album or an Andre solo since Idlewild came out.
Just fans hoping.
Comparing it to Detox or any promised album that never materialized is completely faulty.
