he still the goat. what he does in his 40s will never change what he did in his 30s n 20s
I don't know breh, Silva is essentially MMA's Roy Jones Jr. The end of their careers is DEFINITELY affecting their legacies in the current moment, but likely 20 years from now we'll only remember their dominance.

THE LOVE OF Money is the root of all evil, everything seemed to go to shyt when he signed that 8 fight contract instead of taking a couple of fights then retiring

Fixed.

I agree, he definitely killed his legacy as the GOAT. But like you said, the money. I can't blame him, why not make all the money you can while you're still capable? I see it in two fold.

I really don't think he started using until after the leg break, in which case it is somewhat understandable and I wouldn't say it erases his legacy... but if he's been using his entire career, that's a totally different situation

There were rumors even pics of silva around PEDs far far before the leg break, the black community swept it under the rug....but the boy is catching hands vs sloppy cacs, fukk him:childplease:

All of this. I still remember before the first Weidman fight how my major concern was that Anderson was going to take the Jon Jones superfight and get his ass whooped to end his career :snoop:

Like for some reason i thought he only had like 2-3 fights left in his career and since Bones, Silva and GSP were the 3 "GOAT" nominees at the time, i was mad at the idea that GSP would sit back while Jones/Silva put their winning streaks on the line against each other. I wanted Silva/GSP to happen first, as unlikely as everyone was saying it was.

Turns out GSP would end up the winner of the 3 after all:francis:

I definitely had put GSP behind those two at the time but he did more by doing less and just bowing out the game while they put themselves and their legacies on the line and eventually messed them up with PED usage and in and out of ring issues. Not saying GSP was using PEDs but you notice how quickly he got out the game just as USADA came in and soon started hitting everyone? I’ve heard the rumors he does but 4 years outside the game might be what it takes to get off the juice and get the body and mind back to a decent shape for competition again...

I don't want him to fight, but I will tune in to watch every time. I think he's trying to prove to himself that he's got it, that he can still beat the younger fighters.

This. Atleast for me he will always be the best. The shyt he did to those guys at 185 and 205 was absurd. His muay thai and BJJ were far above everyone else. When he caught irvins leg kick and one hit ko'ed him or when he ko'ed griffin back while back pedaling. Like any combat sport father time is undefeated. And most peds are for recovery not for being swole so iike to thimk he did it after his leg break.

Breh :damn: he had Forrest tapping out before he hit the mat. My favorite fight of all time

I believe he started PEDs after the leg injury to, I mean he really had no choice. He wasn't some 25 year old roid head, he was an old man trying to come back after an injury

In other news, GSP gave up the belt

Saving himself further "embarrassment"

:scust:
Wow that definitely tarnishes his rep in my eyes. You got guys like bispimg fighting a beast after 3 weeks and this dude is scared of defending a championship belt at the highest level of competition. Just wrong.
