None of this disputes my position. Would you rather navigate a world covertly discriminatory or one where our enemies were in plain view and easily targeted? I’m not concerned with hypotheticals, usually drawn up by cac academics, about the transition from hidden racism to genocide. Black history in this country speaks to our unique capacity to overcome a system of genocide. This idea that black people can’t successfully confront genocidal ambitions has no precedent and is in fact at odds with history. Show me how the current post-racial illusion we now live in has been kinder to our struggle. All it’s done, in my view, is made us complacent and unwilling to have a reckoning with our place in this country.

There have been numerous incidents of outward white supremacist rhetoric, terrorism, and actions, including Trump DC judges and Trump right wing Supreme Court taking affirmative action and all "race preference" policies to task AS WE SPEAK. Including Mississippi creating a Confederate holiday, including the state of Tennessee blocking jobs in a black town, including Georgia attempting to block voting rights, including taking control of our school system to restrict any teaching of racism in American history. And so much more. They are 100%, post-Trump, the brazen white power entity of America y'all "prefer." It's all out in the open. They will take active and open measures to obstruct black people's mobility and they will do it "in the open." No mistaking it like those sneaky old liberals.
And what do I see you "new black media," hashtag militants, and Tariq Nasheed stans doing about it? Jack diddle squat. All cowardly contrarian rhetoric, nothing more.
In fact y'all remain more enthusiastic than ever to vote against Democrats, insist liberals are "the real racists," apologize for conservatism, insist there's some religious and social common ground between black people and these pro-Trump bigots, and let conservatives take over Washington.
