Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
So far, every response I have seen you make is some sort of low-key jab at Black people, defense of unfair treatment by non-Black people, or defense of organizations that are mistreating Black people.

I may be wrong, but I have never seen you once agree with any claim, even backed by evidence, of mistreatment of someone Black. It is almost like you have no empathy for Black people at all. Like you low key hate us.

*This is a bit of a tangent from this post, but I felt it needed to be said*

C'mon, son.

Having a phone bill is not a Black issue.

If you got other examples post up :patrice:

Poor money management :manny:
Gotta agree here lowkey. You can get unlimited data for like $80 at ATT with a fully paid off phone. $80 a month aint unreasonable, issue is many people don’t have paid off phones so it adds like $40-$60 additional to the bill bringing it up to $120-$140.

Yeah, there's a reason why unlocked phones have 5 digit reviews on Amazon. A lot of people have figured this out. Mint uses T-Mobile, Spectrum is Verizon.

Side note: I can't tell if you can use any phone on Spectrum or just the ones they sell, cause their website is so trash.

....and at whatever price they decide to sell it. Some of the ones listed on the Spectrum site are $100 more than Amazon, because of course a shyt company like Spectrum is going to try and milk every dollar out of you they can.

What planet is 80 bucks a month to use a phone without wires whenever you want EVER reasonable?

Phone rental is rent-a-center as hell. Predatory, exploitative and a money making bonanza for cell providers. Also scust as hell.

How much for an unlimited data plan is reasonable then? $40/$60?

I have unlimited data for my ATT line at about $75 a month and it’s good for me. I know back then you could do like $60 a month for XGB, but I think most carriers just got unlimited data now.

Phone rental is rent-a-center as hell….

You can always buy the phone outright…I use an iPhone 8 that’s paid off. Got a fully functioning paid off 6S as well. When I’m ready to upgrade I’ll buy out in cash

40 or under for unlimited everything, regardless of carrier.

Alot of phone companies have the option of renting their phones even metro gives you that option :scust: I remember at&t and apple phones notorious for their payment plans

My company pays for my phone and internet.
Every company should pay for everyone's phone and internet.
Also Telcos should lower phone bills like the rest of the planet

If you're broke there's plenty of cheaper phone plans than ATT :manny:

Edit: lmao. The coli just hit me with a Mint Mobile ad. $15 a month for 2 lines

Lol. Now it's a Local Mobile ad. $25 a month for a plan that includes 40gb of data
I'm on Mint. It's really T-Mobile's network on the cheap.

$360/year. I just reup'd last month.

but then you won't get to say you use at&t with your iphone. when their friends ask you who you with, they don't want to say mint mobile, red pocket, metro or any other MVNO that uses the same AT&T or T-Mobile's networks. gotta keep up with the joneses, don't you understand?

Black Self-Sufficiency
C'mon, son.

Having a phone bill is not a Black issue.

If you got other examples post up :patrice:

I can't quote some posts directly because I do not have posting privileges in the forum they’re made.

First I noticed:

"not a big deal. visibility is low in those costumes, probably.

also, kids too grown to believe in puppets or whatever that was"

Your response to children being mistreated even with the video right there showing what happened. Your first inclination was to disregard the complaint by the mother and the pain those two girls must have felt seeing other kids (non-Black) recognized but not themselves. Yes, later you saw more videos that definitely demonstrated it is a pattern of mistreatment that Black children receive, but still at the beginning you sought a way to ignore the mistreatment in favor of admonishing the two little Black girls.

Second:

"Sounds like the Black people in those cities need to get organized politically to stop this over-policing.

Then again...I wonder if the Black people are actually bothered by it. I'd be that numbers are similar in any major city, but most of us don't notice. Cops usually target specific areas, along with certain people."

This quote shows you are literally blaming the Black people in that area for the over-policing. You did not give organizing as a possible solution for the mistreatment, you gave it as a means of blaming victims, whom are Black, pointing out it is merely their lack of organization that allows for their mistreatment.

Last:

Your whole "Benign Neglect" thread and poll is a low-key jab at Black people, specifically at those who feel that various services and payments are owed. Your libertarian, even if you do not claim it, talk during that whole thread simply disregarded many points made by people in favor of essentially saying the government does enough. This is especially egregious when the data and facts show that Black people are not only doing worse than others, but that we are actually actively hindered from doing better by various systems in place controlled by federal and local governments. I grant you the fact that you did not directly mention race in your statements, but the arguments against your assertions did mention how race was a factor. So, it seemed more like you were trying to avoid recognizing those factors in favor of obfuscating the real purpose of your arguments instead of actually directly acknowledging those statements in a non-disingenuous manner. With the real purpose being, in my opinion, that Black people should not request any support from the government.

1. :manny:

those kids got to see life don't revolve around them. They'll be alright. I posted in that thread again after additional videos came out to show it's a pattern from the muppet.

2. I'm past pretending to be shocked at statistics that show Black ppl aren't doing well. Good info. Now let's move on to solutions. Sounds like the Black people in those cities need to get organized politically to stop this over-policing.

3. The Government is not anyone's daddy, bruh. And in 2022, it's not stopping anyone from getting money. You may feel like you're owed Reparations, but you shouldn't feel neglected from an institution that's not there to take care of you like your parents. Despite the fact that it does a lot already.
