The prosecution case was that Thomas wanted revenge because he believed Mr Ned's stepson Karl Wilson was seeing his ex-girlfriend.
He had previously tried to lure Mr Wilson, a musician and rapper known as Konan, into an ambush in Brockwell Park in Tulse Hill.

They barged into the house and Mr Wilson attempted to hide in his mother and stepfather's upstairs bedroom.
One of the gunmen fired a shot through a gap in the door, grazing Ms Michael's left breast. Another shot was aimed at Karl Wilson but missed. Carlton Ned then chased the attackers downstairs before being shot. He was found lying at the foot of the stairs by his wife.
