American life expectancy was already bad. Under Covid and the anti-vaccine movement, it's cratered.

If COVID gets you down like that take it as a warning about your fitness

The reality of COVID is that it has been especially severe towards people who already had underlying or bubbling issues. Thats why it decimated life expectancy especially for overweight people.

You see what I mean about you not being known for your thinking ability? It's not enough that you're a complete fukking retard, but you actively reject information that could make you more knowledgeable.

You acting like there's no correlation between declining global birth rates & life expectancy which is what OP is talking about...:mjpls::russell: but hey maybe if you sat down and used critical thinking skills you would see they are apart of the same dichotomy... i'm gonna get some breakfast TTYL...:troll:

The unofficial number is like 2.5 million people
Not surprised.

And people still ask the oblivious question of "where are all the workers"?

They dead! Hearing about how metro got wrecked out with covid deaths and long covid cases, its surprising that transit systems are still hanging in there.

America is the fattest country in the world, which is why people are dying from covid. Maybe we should blame proud ass fat people and the European for selling us poison, and having chemicals everywhere. But nah, lets blame "anti vaxxers" its much easier:respect:

Does the fact that Black life expectancy dropped by 4 years matter to you or not? Asian-American men are living to 80+ while African-American men are at 65, does that 15 year gap concern you at all?

And what have you done to actually make a positive impact?

So we gonna ignore Sweden? Vax rate of 71%, which is similar to the USA (69%). Magically, their life expectancy is still going up :ohhh:

Swedish Life Expectancy

I'd say America is just a grossly unhealthy country with massive underlying health issues. The issue isn't purely due to an anti-vax movement.

People with confirmation bias issues desperately seek the one outlier and then use it to ignore all other data, no matter how little relevance it holds.

Sweden has fewer people than North Carolina alone and a lower population density than Vermont. On top of that, they have the highest proportion of people living alone in all Europe (over 50%), and already had the highest % of work-from-home before the pandemic even started (~23%).

As a result of those factors, Sweden is able to reduce transmission with a lower vaccination rate, because the average Swede was so socially distanced that 70% vaccination can stop the spread. Countries with higher population densities and more people living together under the same roof aren't so lucky. Once those early 2020 lockdowns ended, the average American wasn't nearly as socially distanced as the average Swede, especially in red States.

You want to compare like to like, explain to me why Sweden had over twice the death rate of its neighbor Norway, despite them being demographically similar countries.

Obesity helps explain why death rates are higher here, among other factors. It does nothing to explain why the trend lines didn't recover. If obesity was the issue, then the Covid death trends would be the same shape, just our dip would be lower. But the majority of 2021 deaths were among the unvaccinated, and they're the primary reason death rates didn't recover after vaccination became available.

Maybe more people got fat during the pandemic. Some of the most out of shape people were the main ones refusing to take the vaccine:francis:. Although I am antivax,I straight up told fat people "You might wanna go ahead and get that vaccine, overweight people dropping like flies:usure:"

America is not healthy for most Black people. Yall can keep acting like this is not all by design. The smartest thing a Black person can do is figure out how to make USD remotely and get the hell out of here before their health takes a big hit. Besides that, I don't stress over shyt I can't control. I only can control to an extent my own health and well being. I've been giving health and fitness advice to Black people since 19. Most people don't apply it.
