Why would they do this though? Why cut off paying customers to your service just because said customers may be taking a few dollars from the pockets of the music/entertainment industry?

Seems like it would hurt these companies more than anything, penalizing customers that pay for their services...unless they have some sort of funding through the entertainment industry.
