Interesting seeing the contrast between AMC and Regal in different areas.

The Regal in my area still doesn’t even have reserved seats and you can forget nice seats/recliners. No Imax or Dolby equivalent.

Meanwhile the AMC did a multimillion upgrade a few years back and its noticeable.

They built an amc near the mall here recently, it's ok but their recliners are fukking ass, I'm not even that tall and the bottom half of my legs hang off the chair because they didn't make it long enough..i go to this place called xscape theaters that is way better but they don't offer reserved seats. I'll have to stick with MP for now

i'm surprised there are low quality AMCs out there. i have 2 AMCs by me with one being about a 5 minute drive and both are nicer than any other theater i'v been to in the bay area. the quality of the AMC theater near me is the biggest selling point for me: always clean, the most comfortable chairs and never had a bad experience with someone talking or making noises during a movie.

Its good that MP is getting competition but the closest amcs to me are bay plaza and the palisades in nyack and seats go fast already without this new deal so i always end up at alamo or a showcase cause its closer.

I want to see how that surge shyt works. Its still a deal if its a $1 or $2 charge but i can wait til monday. They gonna fukk up a lot of flix opening weekend numbers with that

If you have the rewards program, do movies you see with this gain points?

Neither here were originally AMC. One was a Carmike theater that they bought. It's probably 30 years old and I doubt has ever seen an upgrade. We were all surprised it even stayed open when AMC bought them out.

For those of us in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, showcase cinemas has this program too at $11-20 per month depending on if you want to have 2-3 movies per month and imax or 3D as options. They’re also letting you have group memberships so you can get 2-5 tickets per movie.

Bet. Do you have it? Is it worth it? I’m thinking about copping. I spent $28 for intruder last week and bout to pay $38 for John wick, that’s $66. For 2 stubs accounts it would be $46.98 total, seems like a no brainer :patrice:
Yeah, I been a member since it launched. Well worth it. Been watching Dolby/IMAX flicks opening weekend...and the 3 a week is a good value, especially during those weeks where mad shyt drops like this month/june/july.

I’m sold bro. Gonna see Wick in Dolby for the first time. Never paid attention to it til I read the description today. Dual 4K projectors and the seats rumble/have speakers in them? :gucci: IN :wow:
