I enjoy the theater experience especially for blockbuster movies. I hope theaters live on.
I think Hollywood got lazy with making every month a blockbuster.

In reality only a handful of filmmakers can make those premium experience movies.

Paying the same price for Battlefield LA or Underworld as Winter Soldier or 1917 is killing the market.

Paying a ton of movie to sit around a roomful of people talking and crunching popcorn is better than being comfortable at home with drinks and whatever food you want for a fraction of the price :dahell:
Um.

Movies used to be apart of a socializing experience.

Big Willie Weekend movies meant my brother would come back to town to pick us up. We’d go to the mall, eat burgers, then go to the movies.

you not gonna replicate the screen clarity and sound in your living room.

Not gonna eat movie popcorn too. If you don't like going outside, that's you.

Always say boutique luxury theaters, for either Oscar/high brow/indie, and big screen DC whatever stuff is the new normal. AMC represents the Applebees or TGI Fridays of dining, the mid section, it's no longer for families of middle/lower class. They won't be able to afford it. AMC's business model is archaic. It's middle American movie theaters.

I don’t think so, because people like to go out and socialize

What socializing are you really doing? Before the movie with strangers? After the movie when you’re too busy speaking to people you’re actually with? Or during the movie when everyone is trying to concentrate on the movie?
