I’m sure they tried their hardest to look for a spin . What I don’t get is if the police were more transparent and actually just looking out for the common good / protecting serving they’d have so much easier job . People would be more helpful and supportive as most people are law abiding yet they make everything so fukking ridiculous Thank god the young brother didn’t have any previous law run ins or they’d be spinning that all day and night like she didn’t say SHE went to the wrong apartment and killed the lawful resident

I would imagine there is a big inconsistency in her original story and what the evidence actually shows. That's why we haven't heard anything yet.
The problem with this case for the cops is that she already confessed to "accidentally" killing him on the 911 call and the night of. She set a narrative that paints her in a corner for murder.
And if the evidence doesn't support that original narrative she is screwed even worse. So I fully expect she will try to change her story. I don't know how they will justify changing it.. but I fully expect it to happen. Thats probably what they are working on now.
