Is this a southern thing? To be against unions?
It's a combination of lack of employee protections, miseducation( from school, places of worship and politicians) and a culture of "keeping people in their place" has caused people to go against their own well being in the long run.

There's a deep history with the south and it's fight against union

Do we believe it was the voters? How many Pinkertons votes?

Is this a southern thing? To be against unions?

Yes. Propaganda has painted Unions as a big Catholic thing, Irish and Italians, while the South identity is deeply steeped in being Protestants who hate everyone else. Remember that the KKK was founded also as an anti Catholic organization.

It's literally against the law, The 1935 National Labor Relations Act to be specific, for a company to retaliate against a union by closing a business that unionized.

Yes it is against the law, but amazon will claim plenty of reasons why they closed it and then it will go to legal shyt that will take years to be sorted out....and you will be out of a job..

Let's stop acting like businesses don't run grime plays

I understand perfectly why a business owner would be against a union.

don't understand at all why a worker would be against a union though.

Just look at the statistics.
union-vs-non-union-benefits.png

You literally gain more being in a union than not.
They lose their job. The chance of getting an extra 2 dollars isnt worth being fired or layed off. And very few people intend to stay at a meat grinder like Amazon until retirement.
These are the kind of desperate jobs where people cant miss a single paycheck, let alone go to court with company .

Its almost guaranteed that Bezos will win in court no matter what he does because Trumps regulators have been fired or replaced with yes men.

1. The workers will have to prove this. In the meantime they'll be out of a job.
2. The Trump admin will not aggressively pursue the case.

I live near this warehouse in Garner. I chopped it up with a couple of them at Speedway next door one day and most of them are all for better benefits/pay but don't want to get fired or the warehouse shutdown if they unionize.

amazon aint going nowhere, Its the small manufacturers that end up leaving. Some local bread factory will shut down before they unionize.
Amazon will take the hit. Unions were literally meant for companies like Amazon

Welp, this could of been avoided but the people that are hurt most by this like the poor and minorities do not vote in meaningful numbers. Until the poor take politics seriously and support those that are pro worker they will continue to get exploited.
