I thought it was cool. Nothing groundbreaking, but in the end, a decent watch to pass the time. Hopefully Season 2 is better. I enjoyed Strike Back (the Stonebridge/Scott seasons) more than this.

Watched it with wifey. She loved it and I liked it though it ain't groundbreaking. As others said I enjoy how they went into Suleyman's backstory and evolution.

My biggest gripe was towards the end though. Suleyman kept having all this shyt and it got to be a bit over the top in my opinion. First he had chemical warfare for the church attack, then this dude got Ebola he used on the doctors to get the prez, THEN he had cesium-137 to make a dirty bomb. I was like, if they have one more episode this motherfukker is going to have infinity stones. That he had a whole suite of WMD was overkill. They should have just developed the Ebola or dirty bomb into one big plot, not have them all intertwining in this intricate ass plan.

So they tried to turn Jim Halpert from The Office into Jack Bauer.....nah. I finished it but like others said Suleyman had chemical weapons, ebola, cesium, and a dirty bomb like he bought them shyts all at one place buy 3 get 1 free sale. As much as I liked Wendell Pierce aka The Bunk he was miscast for this IMO. Don't know how Abbie Cornish is still getting work. She can't act for shyt and keeps the same facial expression in everything she does. Almost as bad as January Jones. I would've liked for this to be a little longer but I'll keep watching if they have another season.

No Whammies!!
Wait...the actor that plays Suleiman is called Ali Suliman? :mjlol:

When I found that out, I picked up on an in-joke I the first episode. When Jack is first interrogating the "bodyguard", he asks whether he's ever heard the same "Suleiman" before. The guy is like "That's a popular name around here!"

Good show, main character has no personality tho

The helicopter story was fukked up tho. That shyt would have fukked me up too. Lil nikka was holding a grenade like :troll:
As soon as the story started, I figured they were going in the direction of Rambo's story at the end of "First Blood"

I think we're just supposed to accept that the Chehen jihadi fighter used high tech Soviet technology to do all that stuff.

The spy movie version of "A wizard did it".

Bunk makes the show to me. he's perfect because these are what some of these people look like that run these government orgs. Hell look at James Comey :russ:

Just finished episode 1. Abbie Cornish is miscast again. She's not cute. I still don't know what these producers see in her. She must give great dome.
She agreed to show the t*ts, plus she looks close to the traditional Midwestern American, to distinguish from the terrorist's wife

Just finished this up yesterday. Most of my thoughts have already been said, but overall I like the show and would watch another season. Probably a 7+ out of 10 for me overall...

- I don't like the Office guy that's playing Jack. I don't think he's a very good actor (at least in this role, I didn't watch the Office).
- It seemed a bit rushed, probably would have been better as a 10 episode season.
- It really reminded me of a mashup of Homeland and Covert Affairs (I really dug that show and their locations throughout the series was always top notch).

Strikeback was :banderas: with the Stonebridge/Scott team. I only checked out 2 episodes of the remake...
