Amazing how The Nfl is such a mediocre product yet has control over the general public

This is the first year I've been dissatisfied with the product. Usually I like the unpredictability of some teams getting good out of nowhere and good teams suddenly bombing, because that makes shyt more interesting. But this year sucks: the rules are dumbed down to help QBs, but there are less than 10 quality starting QBs that can actually deliver anyway :francis:. Running game isn't popping anymore, Thursday games are usually trash because the teams aren't well-rested, and the part-time referees are missing obvious calls then making press releases like "we messed up, sry" without any real consequences.

Even worse because my home team is even worse than usual this season. :to:

This is America, this country functions on testosterone. Don't ya'll get this by now? Either watch it or turn it off, either way money is going to be made because that's the nature of this country.

i think thats the world. Boxing is an international sport.

not really. rules changes favor the offense. ODBs catch did more #s than any hit. people want to see offense.
I love odb but running the ball, defense and muddy fields should be part of the game. And QB's should be sacked without fear of penalty.

Nfl gone soft.

They can't exactly market Kam hitting Vernon Davis on the same platform as ODB's catch...partly because of the ongoing lawsuit, mandated "strike zones" for defenders, etc.

People want to see amazing things, it doesn't matter if it's a catch, run or somebody getting their soul lifted out of them.

The nfl is perfect for gambling much Moreso then other sports. I know you ride for the nfl hard but even you can't ride for the shield so hard that you think gambling isn't a huge part of it's popularity

Colts Texans will get decent ratings tonight with god awful backup qb's in it. This isn't because the product will be great it's because people have money on the game

I can 100% vouch for this because I was trying to watch the Royals/Astros game at work and this guy was bytching about wanting to watch the football game because he had two players playing in fantasy (I feel bad for him) and money on one of the teams.
