Am I the only one who thinks a Robocop remake was unnecessary?

3 was so bad the studio didn't release it until like 3 years after it was made. And it was PG13 like the one you're bashing

I'm not into ultra violence but its that violence that made RoboCop what it was. It was one of those over the top violently 80's flicks. I don't like overly violent movies if the violence is not in context. If its just gory to be gory, it doesn't really appeal to me.

I think the main reason they have made it a PG 13 movie is cause they wanna market it to kids and kids in their early teens cause most people that remember watching the original RoboCop will probably not wanna see this remake. I dunno, it could be good though, but I doubt it.

And as for remakes, I've come to the realization that we got the original Robocop and the remake does not harm the original in anyway so...it's out there if you want and if you don't? Stick with the original.

I guess RoboCop 3 wasn't that good then from what u guys are saying. I remember the second one being dope and I remember liking the 3rd but I haven't seen any of them in a long time.

I think the last time I saw RoboCop was in '97 cause there was a RoboCop marathon on TV and I taped all of them onto VHS. It was a really long time ago

The original Dredd was crap though. Funny enough, Robocop started out as a Judge Dredd adaptation but so many details got changed they ended up making it into an all original movie.

Yes, you are the only one who feels that way. This topic has not been discussed here. People haven't been shytting in the costume design nor the PG-13 rating since it was announced at all. Everyone here has been super excited about this remake, and all remakes for that matter. Between this, Total Recall and Teenage Mutant Ninja Aliens, this is a great time to bare witness to Hollywood creativity at its finest.

First time I heard about this remake I was figured they would just reboot the original and shyt on it

But with the cast list and such I've really grown to not be too annoyed by this and the trailer looks good, plus the acting might surprise y'all

It looks like it'll be a good action movie but the tone of the original is more to my liking. I was maybe 7 or 8 when I saw it and kids I knew saw it around that age too, if it's based on the future it only makes sense the world would be ultra violent. I'm also opposed to the wife and kid being involved, what's the point?
