Didn't know the original name for Africa but I did know the current one was created by the Greeks. They also came up with the name Asia. It originally referred to the area where the county Turkey is now.

Modern-day Africa is a European creation... Africa is a figment of the white man's imagination.

The state borders were created by white men.

I'm pretty sure most of the countries were named by white men.

The lakes & rivers were named by white men.

Like someone else said in the thread - many of us in the diaspora also have european names - which means the white man gave us our name.

Its a sad situation.

One of the many reasons why the black man is not respected on the global stage.

Alke-bulan: According to Kemetic History “(A)mong the many names Alkebu-lan [“mother of mankind” or “garden of eden”] was called the following: “Ethiopia, Corphye, Ortegia, Libya and Africa – the latest of all.
Alkebulan is the oldest and the only one of indigenous origin. It was used by the Moors, Nubians, Numidians, Khart-Haddans (Carthagenians), and Ethiopians. Africa, the current misnomer adopted by almost everyone today, was given to this continent by the ancient Greeks and Romans. (Yosef Ben-Jochanna
