Am I the only one who can't watch procedurals anymore?

I'll watch reruns of L&O and it's sequels, used to watch CSI too. I watch Scorpion now cause I know in five years it's gonna be on Peachtree or WSBK in the afternoon or in the morning.

Used to fukk with this show heavy for aome reason but I eventually caught on to the bullshyt.

I used to love Law and Order... and even Bones was fun for a minute.

Maybe we just tired of shyt being so realistic, and need to lean on some true make-believe, like sci-fi and superhero shyt.

law and order is the GOAT procedural... and makes the case that it NEVER needs to try more

the original was dope... every case was different... different motives, ways to find the guy, get the wrong guy or right guy.......... then it'd flip to the court room... and unlike most shows... you never knew if they'd win... shyt they lost a lot of cases... major cases

but life went on... probably like a real cop/courtroom... they can't be dwelling on the same case for 6 months after the fact








then SVU happened.... and midway they decided, lets give it an overall story....

shyt turned so fukking cheesy and lame... and nobody cared about their stories... they even went and cut the damn courtroom out to make room for more drama




that being said... if i had to list my fav shows... they'd all be serial except a few comedy joints and law and order

I sometimes like to just watch something that doesn't require much attention and can run in the background as white noise while I am doing something else. That is why I watch Scorpion...it is harmless, TV candy that requires nothing from me as a viewer.

Some serials still have a case of the week format mixed in. The Shield is one that I think did it particularly well. First season of Veronica Mars is another.

shyt...it took me until now to get into Arrow just cause I assumed it would be some nonsense coming from CW, but it turns out that it's pretty damn good.

I don't consider Flash and Arrow procedural tho...if you plop someone down in the middle of a season of Arrow or Flash they will be clueless.

Yeah, the "Shield" is great. Made a thread about it a little while ago, Either "The Shield" or "The Sopranos" is the GOAT show in my opinion.
