yea but even the visuals were superior in the originals.

yes there are some spots that don't look quite right in 2014 but the same can also be said about the prequels.

I will say the prequels overused the cgi and put it in places it didn't need to be in. There was no reason to use it for things like the jedi Temple, Palpatine's headquarters and just rooms in general...it did look fake in those cases. But when it came to the big action sequences and fights with 100's of ships in space it looked better than the small scale stuff you had in the og with plastic models

the prequels look like a ps3 game. the originals look like they were shot on location.

the opening shot of a new hope is still more impressive and more real looking than anything they did in episodes 1-3.

I agree I feel the same way about star trek and alot of other franchises the stuff they did in trek in the 80s and 90s look better then the stuff now to me.

I'm the same way with the Lord of The Rings movies, haven't watched any of them and I don't think I ever will. I've watched every Star Wars movie though.

Never watched one all the way through...usually fall asleep first 30 minutes in. Haven't tried to watch one since the Natalie Portman one in 99. Just couldn't take it. Unbearable.

Kinda don't feel the need to since they've been alluded to in every part of pop culture. I got the general plot down.

Never watched one but read a Nas interview a while back where he said people should watch Star Wars and that got me interested. He mentioned a particular one to watch if you couldn't stomach all of them...been planning to but still haven't. I will one day.
