45 seconds to 2:50 or so, is just gorgeous cinema. The music is somewhat dated lol, but has cop drama ever been as stylish or dope as these kinds of shots?



Is there any other way to hear Tina Turner after seeing it in this scene? I first heard this song when I was like 11 in 96 in this scene. Murdered her father in front of the woman he fell in love with, nothing light or silly about it. Of course that happens 6 times a season lol

Mann paid perfect homage to that scene in the 2006 update.

I enjoyed the movie when it was released. If I’m honest though. I like it much better today especially since I have seen other Michael Mann movies.

Soundtrack was dope too. That Moby song with Patti LaBelle was ...one of these morning...it won’t be very long, they will look for me
