He's the size of a PF, so realistically they should start treating him like a big man when it comes to his minutes. He should be around 32-34mpg
this might sound stupid, but all things consider I dont think it is... would Bron be OK with his numbers going down?

he seems like the type that would get :lupe: about it

After what the Spurs did to him, he's quoted as saying that's how basketball should be played and they were the best team he's ever faced....if he wants to win he has to be ok with it :lupe:

I think you'd see him forgo scoring, and try to get a triple double for a season if they reduced his minutes.

Obviously you aren't gonna have the same burst and lift at 30 as you did at 18. He's prolly put on 20 lbs since he came into the league as well. All that said I'd say it's more so about wear and tear. There is a reason we haven't seen a team make it to 4 straight finals in over 20 years. Look at how the rest of those dudes were looking and they haven't even played as many minutes or had as much responsibility. He needs to have a defined role. Either drop weight and be a quasi-PG on the perimeter or be a full time big man. He can't be expected to be Mr. Everything anymore.

Hey after what the C's did to him he linked up with two other stars to combat them. :manny:. If dude cared about his numbers like that he wouldn't have gone to MIA in the first place and he would be taking more than 18 shots per game.

That raw explosion isn't there on a consistent basis. Plus it seems like he can't beat people off the dribble these days

:patrice:I'ma have to check this out, if true then next year is very pivotal for him.

LeBron has played more basketball than anyone EVER through 11 seasons not even counting the 04/08/12 Olympics.

He's played about 40,000 minutes so far.

He's far outpacing Kobe in terms of minutes played and Jordan isn't even in the same league. He's played almost two seasons more of basketball than Kobe at the same age. I'm really wondering how his body is going to hold up.

Kobe started slowing down at 30/31. Bron's fall could be quicker. :lupe:

No, you noticed LeBron overcompensating for a Dwyane Wade who literally doesn't even run on the basketball court anymore and a Chris Bosh who's gotten too comfortable being a role player

agree w/ the first part, not the second.

bosh accepting his role on this team and being comfortable w/ it are two different things. he adjusted his game because bron and wade dominate the ball so much. problem w/ Miami, this year is they thought they could roll that shyt into another ship instead of moving bosh up a spot as the 2nd option; give him some more looks in the post early. run more plays for him less than 20 ft from the bucket. look at the way pop has changed timbot's role over the last 5 years and his falloff wasn't as profound as wade's. if it aint broke, don't fix it, but if that shyt is in the shop every other week, its time...

80s lakers are prolly the last team to correctly transition from one star to the next with kareem to magic & worthy...and win

In terms of minutes played through 11 seasons, only Malone and Kareem are close and they weren't in the air even a quarter of the time Bron is.

Modern medicine can do but so much.

Why do you feel LeBron is not the same, or better, than he was a year ago? Barring his catastrophic Game 5 against Indiana, his efficiency has been even better than the year previous. Seems like he has not slowed down much, or at all. If you had insight into what has made him less sharp, would definitely want to hear it.

The biggest decline is on defense, especially during the regular season. He actually had a negative influence on defense by regularized adjusted plus minus systems this year, which measure on/off court impact adjusting for who is on the floor with him with his team and opponents. He also didn’t quite have the same year statistically as last year from a PER standpoint. Subjectively, he doesn’t fly around on D nearly as much, isn’t as impossible to post up as in past years (David West had his way with him a few times in the ECF), and also doesn’t have quite the individual burst to get by his man. He’s able to be guarded by PFs more this year than ever, when he’d have just blown by those dudes in Cleveland.

That said, he still looks like the league’s best. The slippage from last year is only subtle, but real from both a subjective and statistical standpoint. And that is no surprise, as he is at the tail end of his prime now.
