Am i the only man that has never and will never wear a suit or smart shoes?

I don't even know what smart shoes are.

As far as a suit, I have one, but I only wear it on special occasions. Basically job interviews and weddings, that's about it. And I think I wore it to graduation. But I do think it's probably a good idea to have one just in case.

I used to think the same, then I was invited to a wedding and felt like shyt for not having a proper suit. I should probably wear a suit at my job every day but mostly only put one when we have more formal meetings. As everything you get used to it, but I still struggle at putting the tie

Folks are funny about putting their beliefs on others. Funerals were held long before suits were invented. Attending one without a suit is not disrespectful just because you were brought up to believe so.

But I'd advise the OP to stash one just in case. You don't want something as simple as a suit to get in your way. Somethings don't happen until they do. The world can get big on you in an instant.
