I need to rewatch it but I remember liking it when it came out. But I tend to like the filler episodes when the characters are just interacting without the high stakes ( I think they call them bottle episodes). As long as it only happens once in a while.

:mjlol:

jesus breh. better than the second to last episode?

to each their own, i guess

I enjoy it more as a whole. I love Ozymandias' opening 15 minutes for being the most intense, edge of your seat TV I've ever seen, but I dont think I'd put the episode in my top 5 of the series

Really? You can't see why people were bored by it? :comeon:

Personally, I cant. I also don't understand the people who think the show was boring in the first two seasons either. Slower paced, dialog driven stuff is what I enjoy most in movies and TV, though. Even on my first viewing of the "Fly" episode, I thought it was great. I love that it takes place in one setting the whole episode.. I love the opening up about themselves that Jesse and Walt do and I think it shows a different side of their relationship that needed to be shown. Even the parts where Walt is struggling to kill the fly and failing in comical ways is hilariously entertaining.

You can't skip season 2 of The Wire cause the storyline with Barksdale, Omar and them progresses though the season, just that Frank Sabaka and his associates are the main focus of the show for S2.

I'm not up to season 3 yet but I'd imagine the viewer would be confused if they went straight from S1 to S3.
You're absolutely correct. The wire wasn't meant to be "CSI the future ivestigators" where you can mix and match everything under the sun. Its one continuously well written show that I doubt will ever be topped, but the comparison to that episode of bb is dead on because I've seen so many people on here tell posters to skip these integral parts of said shows. They disliked it because it had less hood shyt/action. That's fine...don't act like the quality dipped off because it didn't.

It was an ok episode. I think the part where he was going to tell about jane was the best part of that ep. Its more of a season 1 episode in terms of pace. Its a pretty big change in pace from the rest of season 4. But still good.
