But yes, aside from the significance of this episode, I'd say you COULD skip it. However, since the worst episode is still a good episode, I'd say watch it, even though it may not live up to your expectations. Plus, if you watched 4 Days Out, you could probably make it through this.

You can't skip season 2 of The Wire cause the storyline with Barksdale, Omar and them progresses though the season, just that Frank Sabaka and his associates are the main focus of the show for S2.

I'm not up to season 3 yet but I'd imagine the viewer would be confused if they went straight from S1 to S3.
