No, but you can't turn around and then complain about the lack of Black characters, shows.etc of this nature when you're not willing to support what's out there. You could at least check out a few episodes if anything to see if you like it. It's been getting huge praise so far and trailers are not always indicative of the quality.

The portrayal of Luke Cage wasn't exactly mind blowing. Dude showed the acting range of a coconut

eh, in JJ he was a secondary character at best who wasn't(understandably) given a whole lot to do. This is his own show with different showrunners, different direction, etc. They are allowed to go all out here so we'll see how he does.

Like @Lannister just said Jessica Jones wasn't his show. It wouldn't make sense for them to show him off because he's a supporting character and that show had a much different flavor than the one Luke cage is going for from what I've read

Luke Cage is a brother put thru the criminal justice system and after which comes home to clean up the hood. What self-respecting Black man can't get behind that? In some ways this is more essential than BP. Luke Cage is from real streets with relatable problems. BP is from an imaginary country. BP may represent the dream but LC represents the struggle.

OK, I think there are other acclaimed actors involved. If you watched DD and JJ and can't find a reason to watch this and you're Black. It says a lot IMO.
Kristin Ritter isn't some great actress either.
