Yea Mariah character was off to me, they had that chick acting like a younger girl all that forced sexual tension she was doing didn’t feel right. It was like watching my mom trying to be sexy again. She didn’t give off the milf vibes they wanted from that character, it was uncomfortable.

Also I think Mariah left Luke the club to piss her daughter off in hopes she has some resentment towards him and possibly take over the real family business in order to get that club back. I can’t believe he was dumb enough to take it.

Mariah is big af in the comics, I know it's irrelevant but I felt like Monique would have brought the character to life and been more authentic with the hood/gangsta shyt.

Alfrie Woodard is a wonderful actress but it's hard to take her serious some (not all) of the time in this series with the curses and gun wielding.

Lemmie get the fukk out this thread though, I'm only on ep 10.

I'm not around Jamaican's like that, so I can't tell the accents are bad. How much of the lingo was correct though?
Do Jamaicans call their kids picknies? Would a Jamaican get punched in the face and say "Ya broke me nose!"?

i just started watching.. the accents are bad, but they got the slang down. but these fukkin accents got me
