Wait a minute, we saw Kobe score 48 and grab 16 rebounds to close out the Kings that playoff run.

We saw Kobe, not Shaq, destroy the 2001 Spurs where he averaged 33, 7, 7 on 51% shooting. And it would have been higher if he didn’t sit out most of the fourth quarters of games 3 and 4.

He didn’t shoot the 3 as good then. And the Sixers had a lot of bodies for him. He averaged 15ppg on 39% shooting. AI vs him alone would have Sixers in 5...

He didn't have too.

So if he wasn’t that good with single coverage. How do you think he would do as the main target vs the best defense in the league? He was pretty great in 01 but he wouldn’t have been ready to do it as the main guy until 03 when he made his 2nd leap...

Kobe wasn't just elite. He was probably the second-best player in the NBA, after Shaq. And the Spurs didn't double-team Shaq.

:patrice: Naw, breh. Kobe was cold that year, but no way he was #2 in the league cold.
