I can't front. the last 4-5 episodes have been pretty damn good.
once they got thru with the carl bullshyt, they were able to start progressing the show like they should have been all along.

Or a scene where Rick and Negan get into a fist fight (they most likely will fight, which is why they displayed Negan's fighting skills tonight). Negan gets the best of Rick.
Eugene shows up with a gun with intentions to shoot Rick, but suddenly has a change of heart and points it towards Negan.
As Rick takes Negan away, Negan gives one of his usual belligerent remarks to Eugene like:
"You're a big...fat...p*ssy"

We had a fake mutiny attempt setup last 4 episodes and then they killed off that story line. So really nothing happened there.
Dwight got found out but is still alive in a room a prisoner in negans camp, same thing still again..
