It's not just cloud storage it's the ability to back up save files at all. If you don't have cloud storage your saves are stuck on a single PS5 at a time and can't be backed up. They can be moved from one PS5 to a different one but never on more than one at a time and not backed up at all. They can't even be moved to the NVMe drive they can only be on the internal storage that came with the system.Essential is just cloud storage and online, with 4 ‘free’ games a month
