breh he not super weak mentally. but wlad showed no heart tonight when he was down. showed no killer instinct. his trainer kept telling him he was down and so he couldn't have thought he was winning.

when someone was beating him down with a huge advantage he just did nothing.

I thought he would turn it up in intensity but nope.

He is a 39 yr old fighter who wasn't able to pull the trigger from age n the great gameplan Fury had in regards to faints n the distance the fight took place.

I don't see anything about mental weakness in there. Mentally weak fighters do not have the runs Wlad had and they quit at the nearest opportunity. People have just ran with that "Wlad is mentally weak" narrative but his dominance CLEARLY shows otherwise. I like Bread man and agree with a lot of the stuff he says but he can come across as a know it all and when shyt doesn't play out like he said it would it's excuses.

There are hof fighters and trainers who make it a point that they are always learning I'm not trying to hear a nikka who never threw 1 punch tell me he knows it all. :russell:

Yes...if he wanted to continue, he should've been allowed too.

Riiiiiiiight o
So if he was winning on your card, then the only actiom weve ever seen between those 2, Vitali won 4-2. He didn't stop the fight or attempt to quit, he wanted to fight on.

And yes...if he wanted to continue, he should've been allowed too imo.

The key thing here is that Lewis inflicted a fight stopping injury on Vitali, if it was a clash of heads then yes - Vitali won at 4-2, but it was a legit punch :manny:

Fat,slow old Lewis TKO'd prime Vitali :obama:

I dont think you realise how fukked up Vitali's eye was, it was ripped up good :whoo:

Before you reply, go watch the replay of the fight - when wlads in his corner at the end of the 5th or 6th, shyt is gross. Then consider whether the ref was wrong to stop it :francis:

Exactly I hate when dudes act like arm chair psychologists. Wlad was not old or mentally broken, he lost to the better man on the night

There were signs of father time though when have you known Wlad not to counter a guy leaning in with body shots :snoop: Wlad would even take that step back after but never shot the right hand I think age played a part but Fury had a great gameplan and I don't even like dude but he outboxed him.

Even a :flabbynsick: Wlad is more than capable to beat the other heavies out there but yeah. :francis:

What kinda bullshyt are you on right now :mjlol:

Was Vitali in a competent state physically to continue?
:snoop:

I watched a dude suffer a brutally broken jaw, continue on and win the fight. I watched a dude with a concussion, fall around on the canvas and didn't remember anything after the 2nd round, continue on and win the fight. I watched 2 fighters with a broken orbital bone continue on and go the distance. If Vitali wanted to CONTINUE....he should've been allowed too. The Doctor stopped the fight, not him, so why would I say "he quit"?:dahell:

He was beating Lennox Lewis 4-2 over the 6 rounds they actually fought, Lewis claimed he would fight him later that year in a rematch, and then retired out the blue. If he was confident he could win, he wouldn't have turned down the rematch and the purse that came along with it. Simple as that.

That cut on Vitali's eye was deep, if they would've continued Lennox might do some serious damage. It was a perfectly legit stoppage.

Agree to disagree.

He had issues pulling the trigger that has nothing to do with being mentally weak more to do with his age and what Fury was doing. Going by your logic every fighter that takes an L is mentally weak.

Where was this "mentally weak" fighter when Peters was playing Patti cake with his equilibrium?

A mentally weak fighter doesn't have the run he did. It's a narrative the struggle boxing media has ran with for way too long whrn he has shown the exact opposite during a decade of dominance. It's funny because "tough guys" who consistently quit like Lucas are propped up by that same exact media.

Im not debating the stoppage. What I AM debating is those claiming "no heart" and "he quit".

How did he quit? He didn't quit at all.

My point will always stand that if Lennox Lewis thought he could actually beat him, he wouldn't have retired out of the blue, and instead would've fought him in December like he originally claimed. Then, after he backed out of that, and seen how Vitali did Kirk Johnson, Lewis vacated his titles and ducked out the back door:yeshrug:

Anyways, that's the past. I just find it humorous today how NOW we hearing that Wlad has "no heart" out of @hyperman25 after his 1st loss in a decade......but yet he hasn't said that at all in any of his posts since April 2014 about Wladimir before Fury just beat him that I recall:shaq2:

idk. I just cant agree with it.

its not about the loss ...its about him not showing interest in fighting back when he was down.

maybe it was his age but idk........I guess we will settle until the rematch.

also I don't remember u saying nothing about wlad age where it would limit him from winning vs fury. u were confident in wlad and popping off.
