Dave Meltzer also speculated AEW is looking at things long-term, PAC beating Page wasn't so much a problem, but he would have to keep winning against bigger names to make the win against Page mean something. He felt Kenny Omega would have been next in line and AEW probably didn't want to have PAC beat Omega at this point.

This is some stupid ass thinking. :what:

-Page is a midcarder. (Upper midcarder possibly in the future.) There’s nothing wrong with him losing, as long as he shows out, which I’m sure he would have.

-PAC is an established star.

-PAC/Omega shouldn’t be rushed.

Sounds like Elite is on their Kliq booking steez already. :scust:

Bucks said in a recent interview ROH was paying them more than NJPW was. :ohhh:

Also said they would've stayed in ROH/NJPW and never created AEW if they could've gotten a better contract situation but neither company wanted to do it. :wow:
ROH probably didn't have the money with Sinclair being tight.
NJPW actually didn't want to pay Bucks because they want a part-time schedule.
Also, Bucks aren't highly regarded in Japan, tbf.

When PAC eventually drops his title, doing the DQ finish in England allows an easy reentry point for PAC, if he does return to AEW.

On this morning's Wrestler Observer Radio it was noted the bout in England will be streamed by AEW, most likely on Tuesday, as a way for fans to still be able to see a match between the two since it won't be on Saturday's PPV.

In terms of the match itself, AEW did not want a tie/DQ as they are looking for wins/losses in their matches, especially on PPVs. PAC previously went to 30-minute draws with Will Ospreay and Zack Sabre Jr., which drew boos and would probably get a similar reaction at Double or Nothing. Also, it was reported PPV time was a factor as AEW is working within a four hour limit and that match would take up a big chunk of time, only for a tie to happen.

Dave Meltzer also speculated AEW is looking at things long-term, PAC beating Page wasn't so much a problem, but he would have to keep winning against bigger names to make the win against Page mean something. This loser here. Dave Juelzer :mjlol:

This got to be Cody booking his boy Page to go over.

I see PAC reasoning tho. I have draws with world-renowned talent Ospreay and ZSJ but have me eat a pin to midcarder like Page. :camby:

You are correct with bolded, could make Page an underdog babyface. I make him eat pins the first four PPV.

There’s a difference between star and superstar. :usure:

And that logic is stupid. Page ain’t a star. It doesn’t matter who PAC faces after. They can do PAC/Angelico, PAC/Evans, PAC/Daniels, etc. There’s plenty of talent, and more to come. That’s just a bullshyt excuse. :stopitslime:

Loosely connected, i hate when a company feels the need to overcompensate on booking for someone who left the WWE. [PAC]

Again.... I still don’t believe Page is the problem.

And I do agree, that is stupid logic.

Hey “I’m the champ of another company and therefore I should just come in and run through your entire roster.... just because”

shyt like that will lead to backside lashing like “damn see all them AEW guys are losers and not stars.

Losing to a guy that was a times a jobber and not really a big guy (star power wise) from WWE”

Imagine them who always takes jabs at 205 and then have their roster decimated by a 205 guy:mjlol:

That would be self ether:russ:

First, no wrestling fan would give a shyt about Page losing, So that makes what you said irrelevant.

Second, look at you bringing up size. No one gives a shyt about that. And Page ain’t that much bigger than PAC (weight wise).

Bolded is pretty important given how at All In the final match had to be heavily cut and just barely ended before the PPV feed cut off.

You really did read or get nothing I said did you?:picard:

I simply stated, I don’t think this has nothing to do with Page and that initial post you quoted said just as much.... which I even bolded.:dwillhuh:

Secondly, my bad if I wasn’t as clear with that as I thought when I literally said STAR POWER WISE which I specifically put in ().

Taking size out of consideration (which again wasn’t my intention of bringing up, our wires got crossed), just speaking about the 205 brand and roster, no one cares about 205, the damn WWE don’t even care about 205 in comparison to the main roster and NXT.
