Funny thing is he gave UP his WBO belt to not fight Matt Korobov in December, Korobov fought Andy Lee for the vacant belt, Lee had a come from behind KO of Korobov to win the WBO Championship......and is now fighting Quillin in his 1st defense of the WBO Belt
Hopefully Andy Lee has another of those bushes shots in him for Quillin. What are the purses for this fight?

I swear that whole scene reminds me of the Khan/Alexander situation. nikkas is trying to avoid a situation only to eventually run back into it.
Quillin's not that good, but he would have beaten Korobov who isn't that special either (except for his power). Now he has to face a tougher opponent in Lee who relishes being the underdog, has the spirit of Steward in his corner, has heart, good power, and boxing skills.

Yep. At least he would have experience on Korobov. Andy Lee is gonna be a tough customer. Quillin can beat him of course, but he also could've beat Korobov if he would've just taken the fight (which ironically, would've been probably been for more money than he's receiving on April 11th)

Lee isn't that good though. He was being pounded in his last couple fights before being bailed out by one punch.

I have a feeling their reliance on punching power will make Quillin/Lee a fire fight. I suspect Quillin might be packing something fraudulent in the mandible region.
That's the thing Quillin ain't that good either.
Dude was catching a boxing lesson from Rosado of all people. I mean he's a champ that struggling with a guy Charlo and GGG outboxed pretty clean. Quillen pretty much put himself on the same level as Love with that performance. Then he goes and fights that midget and looks horrible.
Lee struggles no doubt, but it's at least against guys on his level or better. I doubt Kid Chocolate beats Chavez Jr and if he's struggling with Rosado, he'd prolly struggle with Vera too.
Great crossroads fight though. Truly a toss up.

Either way, not excited about either guy being champ. And we'll have to see them with the belt for the rest of the year, because neither are losing to mediocre ass Billy Joe Saunders
