Actually it's funny man, "BB" almost got cancelled at the end of season 4. It was always critically acclaimed, but it was basically "your favorite show's favorite show". People that worked on other shows like "Game of Thrones" or "Homeland", or actors/directors in Hollywood, would praise it. But the season 4 finale only had 1.9 million viewers. Nobody was watching this a couple years ago.

Guess how many people watched the season 5 finale? 10.3 million. As far as I know no other show in history has blown up like that, over the course of a couple years. Like you said, they deserve it.

Oh and Walt is about that life man. Jesse ain't cut out for none of this shyt.

Fred.

Dude the show is great...I think it not being on premium channels screwed it up. Seriously, I heard this was good show but I figured it was a "poor" persons Soprano. You know the guys who don't have premium channels trying to have their own little show like Sopranos, Shameless, GOT, Homeland, etc etc.

after watching it...this is better than all of those. I don't know if it's because I just ran through all 5 season but literally only one sucky episode "the fly" and every other one one was PIFF.

They tried to sell the show to anyone that would take it. HBO, Showtime, etc.

A 50 year old high school chemistry teacher gets cancer and becomes a drug lord. Everyone was :camby: "fukk outta here".

FX is the only network that showed interest, and they ended up passing on it. That's when AMC stepped in, who had nothing to lose at the time.

Obviously all those networks are :snoop: now because of how the show turned out. It's like throwing away a winning lottery ticket.

I dunno what I'm going to do now :(

You can go through this thread, and the one from last year:

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/breaking-bad-season-5-official-thread.648/

There is a fukk ton of hidden shyt in this show that most people don't catch. Clues about who will die, what eps people will die in, lots of symbolism, foreshadowing, etc. in all 5 seasons.

For example, I'll give you a simple one. If you take the names of the eps in season 2....and look at the episodes with the weird black and white teddy bear intro....those episode titles spell out exactly how the season will end:

1. "Seven Thirty-Seven" (the type of airplanes that crashed, also $737,000 is what Walt says he needs before he dies)
2. "Grilled"
3. "Bit by a Dead Bee"
4. "Down"
5. "Breakage"
6. "Peekaboo"
7. "Negro y Azul"
8. "Better Call Saul"
9. "4 Days Out"
10. "Over"
11. "Mandala"
12. "Phoenix"
13. "ABQ"

"737 down over ABQ"

There is all kinds of stuff like this in the show.
